The problem with most Ad networks, especially the popular ones like Google Adsense, is that they won’t allow just about anybody to join them. They want to make sure that you are credible, and your blog is able to bring traffic for their advertisers.

You may already know this, but just in case you are absolutely new to Ad networks, here are several terms that you may want to to familiarize with…
- PPA – “Pay per Action” is the metric used by publishers (bloggers) to estimate how much they can earn from CPA (Cost per Action) Ads.
- PPC – “Pay per Click” gives the publishers an idea of how much they can earn from CPC (Cost per Click) Ads.
- RPM / CPM – The metric used to determine the total Ad revenue a publisher is set to earn for 1000 Ad impressions.
- Impression – The instant an advertisement is displayed on the user’s screen.
- eCPM – “Effective Cost per Impressions” is the cost advertisers pay for every 1,000th ad impression, regardless of what traffic buying method is being used e.g., CPC, CPA, CPM, etc.
- User – A “unique visitor” or a person who has come to your site. When that user comes back later on your site on the same device or browser, they would still only count as one user.
- Page view – Represent each instance a user visits or “views” your page. The same user can account for multiple page views on the same page.
Now, let’s go into the nitty-gritty of each Ad network.
