Especially at this point where search engines are so refined, it is more important than ever that bloggers find a niche that they can profit from.
And, at the same time, be passionate about the topics in the niche.
If you haven’t read this article about our approach to confidently choose a niche and know it will work, please do so.
Because, the niches below are selected based on those criteria. The number 1 criteria which we avoid totally in this list are niches in the “Your Money Your Life (YMYL)” space. This article explains why.
But generally, new bloggers in the YMYL niches will take a much longer period to find success than those in non-YMYL niches, or worst, they don’t see results at all even with the biggest effort.
That’s why we try to avoid them totally.
Before you scroll down, you may want to download the Niche Selection Spreadsheet that we have prepared for you.
Alright, without further ado, here are the 240 niche and sub-niche ideas that are underserved and do not fall in the category of YMYL.
1. Archery Niche
I am surprised that there aren’t many blogs dedicated to just talking about archery.
The trend for archery has been pretty consistent over the past 5 years. Which means there are many people who has interest in archery but no influencers to follow.
I do see many e-commerce stores selling archery gears, but I think there are more to this niche that you can explore.

Blogging is a very lucrative and fulfilling business and even though it’s a personal blog I own and I hadn’t been in the field for long, I must say that I have been able to experience growth, both financially and personally. However, finding the right niche is important for the success of a blog. This post has been a very good eye opener and I’ve been able to broaden my knowledge on this topic. I’ll look more into these niches and see how I can make the most of them.
Oh, what wonderful post you have here on some niche ideas that I can jump I to. The truth is that I have never blogged before and I just decided to give it a go not quite long ago and I do not know which niche to go into. I will pick the of the most suitable for me in the list you have here and see how I can work on them and see which one is better for me. Thanks.
I thought I am about to browse the list until I reach the 240th but then came upon the last which is the Mystic niche.
What I noticed about the niches and the sub-niches mentioned here is, most of them are offline or done outdoor which perhaps made them untouched or under-served. Most bloggers prioritize those niches that are rather easy and can be done mostly online or with a computer. But I came across some in your list that can be done digitally like the animation niche. I am interested in entering the niche but aware this needs some skills so I’d be enrolling in a course dealing with animation.
I could not stop reading your article, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to find niches and the sub niches. You have a wonderful system and everyone of the 240 Underserved Blog Niches are great. I love singing but have never thought of it as a Niche. I can not wait to check out your site. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Blessings,
Renea
Thank you for this information jack. Normally when one is in search of a niche they search the Internet and the best they would probably get is an endless list of titles. Hi Jack,
I really enjoyed your article, it covered a lot of areas that I needed help with. The information was clear and concise especially the area for people with a new website with little traffic.
there are a lot of other sites that I can sign up with to help with my earnings but some of them are very strict, I will not try for those until I can manage
I also love the articles on doing something to earn a little more on the side I could try teaching a different language in my dialect it’s ok since it’s my native language:-) If I decide on that I will share it with you.
I hope that I will be as successful as you someday as well as a good blogger
thanks.

Thanks for your suggestion, I thought I had included Game development in the Gaming niche.
Wow, Jack! This is such a great article, suggesting niches I would never have even thought about!
It’s interesting that you included the martial arts niche at number 12. Just last week I was talking to a friend whose Taekwando business has taken a massive hit due to the global pandemic. I suggested he start a website / blog, but I think your idea of a YouTube channel is much more appropriate.
While I am quite happy with the niche I am currently focusing on, I know where to come for ideas if I decide to branch out into something new!
I wish I had read this article when I was struggling with choosing a domain name. I am still not 100% sure that I made a good choice as I was forced to compromise as the exact domain name I wanted was already taken. In the event I registered two domains, both dot coms one that I did not build out but has the exact 3 words but with hyphens and the other which I am using and have built out which has the 3 words one of which is plural have. I still have the other name. I was planning to let its registration lapse when it is up for the annual fee. Is that a good idea?
You have clearly looked at and practiced this art from many angles and refined your technique. I still like my domain and my niche and I am not able to keep up with my own flood of ideas for more and more content. Still a long way to go. I guess because it was my first, actually it was my second but let’s call my actual first a Mulligan, I guess next time around in a few years maybe when I am looking for another domain name for another niche I will take note of all your advice.
Thanks
Andy
