So, you’re convinced that affiliate marketing is a good way to make money online (I couldn’t agree with you more), but you don’t want to start a website or spend any money? Then, I hope this post can help you out.
- The good news – There are three proven methods that you can use to make money with affiliate marketing without a website.
- The caveat – They won’t be as effective when compared to doing affiliate marketing with a website or when you start a blog.
Of course, you can still make money with the affiliate marketing methods below. You just have to understand the basic principles of affiliate marketing for them to work.
And did I mention that all the three methods I will share with you are 100% free? Yes, they won’t cost you a dime: just your time, honest effort, and perseverance.
I prepared a video to discuss this topic in full detail, including a step-by-step process of how to do them. But if you prefer written words, continue reading below.
Now, the proven formula to be successful in affiliate marketing is this…
Targeted Traffic + Trust + Relevant Affiliate Products = Sale (Commission)
Traffic is the people on the Internet. Now, I say “targeted” traffic because not all people on the Internet can make you money.
You will have to find a particular group of people (aka market, audience, or niche) that you want to help.
You need to understand and identify the needs and problems of those groups of people (e.g., entrepreneurs, opportunity seekers, stay at home moms, etc.) and offer a solution to their problems, which brings us to the second element, trust.
Once you’ve identified your target traffic, you will have to build a rapport and establish trust between those people.
Let’s face it; people wouldn’t just trust a stranger they meet online. You first need to provide value to them and build a relationship.
Finally, once you’ve established trust between you and your target traffic, you can proceed to offer them the affiliate products you are promoting.
Where to find your first affiliate products to promote?
You can easily find millions of affiliate products when you join platforms called affiliate networks. However, most of them require a website (or blog) for your application to be approved.
And since you want to start affiliate marketing without a website,we basically narrow down our options to ClickBank and JVZoo.
These two are also affiliate networks, but they don’t require you to have a website to access their affiliate product inventory.
1. ClickBank
You can go to ClickBank and create an account (or use your existing account if you already have one). You just need an email account and fill-up a form, and you will get approved instantly.
Once you’ve logged in to your ClickBank account, you will have to click the “Affiliate Marketplace” button.
And if you don’t have any idea what products you want to promote, just click the search button and ClickBank will show you its popular products so you can find some that resonate with you.
By default, ClickBank will display its top 10 affiliate products. If you want, you can change the results per page to 50, so you can see the top 50 affiliate products you might want to promote.
As an example, say you want to promote an affiliate product called 12-Minute Affiliate System.
You just have to click on the “Promote” button and click on “Generate Hop Links.”
The Hop Links is the link you need to copy and share with your target market. When people click on this link and buy that product, you will earn money (affiliate commission).
However, only recommend products (or services) that actually have the potential to solve your audience’s problems.
I strongly advise that you do proper research to understand what an affiliate product is all about, what problems it solves, what solutions it provides, and who the target audiences are.
Usually, affiliate products like the 12-Minute Affiliate System will have sales page, like this.
This is where you can watch a sales video or read the sales copy to understand what this product is all about. It is also the place where you can get marketing materials like email swipes, graphics, and ideas on how to market the product.
For instance, you wouldn’t want to promote baby products to people without kids, or courses on how to succeed with affiliate marketing to people who want to start an Amazon FBA business. You get the point.
Worse, you wouldn’t want to be caught promoting low-quality products that don’t provide real value to other people. Making money at the price of losing the trust of your audience is never worth it in the end.
2. JVZoo
Unlike ClickBank, JVZoo requires you to verify your account, so make sure to use a valid email address when you join.
After this, you can click the “Products” tab to access the Marketplace, Top Sellers, Launch List, and Featured Products.
Say you want to promote the #1 Top Seller for today, MyTrafficJacker 2.0 Pro.
Just click on the “Affiliate Details,” and you will arrive at a page like this.
Fill out the form and click “Request Approval” and wait for the vendor to reply.
Reminder – Before you promote this product (or any affiliate product), visit the MyTrafficJacker 2.0 Pro sales page first. Learn what the product is about and how it can help other people.
And now that you know where to source your affiliate products, it’s time to discuss the 3 free methods to do affiliate marketing without a blog…
1. Use Craigslist
Craigslist is a place where millions of people in the US visit every single day. It is a high traffic website where a lot of people are looking for jobs, looking for services, offering their services, selling their stuff, and whatnot.
It is basically a free-to-access buyer and sellers marketplace, and it is one the best sites online for affiliate marketers like yourself to get into.
Go to Craigslist, and in there, click on the “Resumes.”
You will then arrive on a page like this.
As you can see, there are all kinds of people looking for jobs, offering services, or buying and selling stuff.
You can click on them if they belong to your target traffic and land on this page.
Then click on reply and copy this link.
After that, you need to go into your Gmail account, create an email send it to the link that you copied.
Then you want to have a subject line like “Craigslist Resume” and write something like…
Now, this is just an example. This script could vary depending on who your target traffic is and the affiliate products you are promoting.
This is another reason why you need to completely understand your affiliate product. That way, you can tailor your messages to cater to your target audience’s needs, which will lead them to click your affiliate link and make a purchase.
And if you notice in the example above, you can see that the city is Los Angeles. You can change the city to find more people that might need the affiliate products you are promoting.
I recommend you spend 6 to 8 hours messaging people every day, and you will generate a lot of traffic to your affiliate program.
I know it takes time and effort, but this is one of the best-known methods for growing an affiliate marketing business without a website and without spending any money.
2. Create a YouTube channel
YouTube is another good place to start an affiliate marketing business without a website. By uploading helpful videos on your YouTube channel, you can get people to the right state of mind before sending them to your affiliate products.
Remember, we talked about the trust element in the affiliate marketing success formula, and YouTube is where you can build trust between you and your target audience. Once you’ve established your rapport, and people already trust you, you can then send them to your affiliate products.
YouTube can get you quick results if you know how to do it, and there are 2 primary ways that you can get traffic from YouTube…
The first is through search traffic. YouTube is technically a search engine, and when people have a problem, they search for a keyword on YouTube and find the information they need in video format.
As an affiliate marketer without a blog or website, you can create helpful videos that provide a solution to the problems and challenges of the people within your target market.
When people who belong to your target market search for a keyword, they can find the videos you create. And when those people find your videos useful, it will then be easy for you to convince them to check out your affiliate products by providing a link in the description of your videos.
The second way to generate traffic using YouTube is by taking advantage of the YouTube algorithm. Like Google, YouTube will show relevant video results to each user based on their interest and search patterns on the platform.
For example, if your channel is about helping dogs to be healthy, the best way to get into the YouTube algorithms radar is to create a lot of videos that talk about dog’s health. That way, YouTube will understand what your channel is all about, and it will start recommending your videos to dog lovers.
The key point here is to upload helpful videos regularly, like 1 to 3 videos per week, targeting the keywords that are relevant to your target market.
Using the same example above, if you’re promoting affiliate products for dogs, then you need to create videos targeting keywords like best dog toys, top dog foods, best dog training courses, etc.
My YouTube channel for this blog is where I upload videos regularly on how to make passive income online.
Because if you barely post new videos every week, and you only have a few videos uploaded, YouTube will have trouble identifying what your channel is all about. It won’t be able to connect your videos to your target audience effectively.
If you want to choose this method to do affiliate marketing without a website, then I suggest that you pick a niche, identify all the keywords related to the niche, and start posting at least 3 videos per week.
On that note, I’m also trying out other strategies to generate a good amount of traffic with YouTube. I’ll update this post when I get solid results, so make sure to come back once in a while.
But moving on to the third and final method on how to start affiliate marketing without a website…
3. Use free ad forums
Another way to generate traffic for your affiliate marketing business is to post ads on sites like The Free Ad Forum and Free Global Classified Ads – the same group of people runs both.
But in my opinion, this method is the least effective strategy in this list, and I will explain why in a moment.
Nevertheless, I choose to include this method here because, in a way, it answers the question of how you can do affiliate marketing without a website or spending any money.
So if you want to give this method a chance, all you need to do is signup and create an account on The Free Ad Forum.
Then go to your email to verify your account.
You don’t need to spend money to publish your ads. But if you want, you can pay $5, and your ads will be featured and highlighted at the top of your category for 90 days.
To create an ad, you need to click on this red button.
Select the category you want, for example, business opportunities, then include a title, write some text, place your affiliate link, and put a price.
You can leave it at 0.
Then, you can add an image, complete all the required info like “Listing Location.”
Next is to select “No, thanks. I do not want extra exposure for my ad right now. I just want to submit a free ad” to publish ads for free.
Then click “Publish,” the blue button at the bottom of the page. That’s it!
You can do the same process on Free Global Classified Ads to get more leads. And to give you more options, some alternatives to the two I mentioned here are Adpost, Gumtree (the Craigslist of Australia), and Classified Ads.
Now, the reason why I think this method is the least effective one is simply because most people who come to these free ad platforms are sellers and not buyers.
I presume there are more advertisers (like you) here than consumers.
When you think about the mindset of most people that visit these sites, most of them are not interested in joining a business opportunity; they are not looking for a solution or something to buy; they are more interested in posting business opportunities.
Of course, I could be wrong, and you are free to correct me in the comments area below.
To conclude

Also, do check out the best method to affiliate marketing here. This strategy is something new, unlike starting a blog or YouTube Channel, where you need to spend a lot of time creating content.
Or, use Facebook or Instagram, which is currently overcrowded. So, do check it out.
